That angle is intentional as it lets the implant bypass the sinus entirely and reach bone that’s dense enough to provide strong initial stability, often in the same day.

The result is an implant that can frequently be loaded sooner than a graft-dependent case would allow, since there’s no waiting period for grafted bone to mature. It also means fewer total surgeries for the patient, since the grafting step is skipped rather than staged ahead of the implant itself.
